Safety Engineer ISO 26262

Job Description:

As a Functional Safety Engineer (M/F) you will be responsible for the development of the functional safety policy for automotive programs in compliance with the ISO26262 standard.


Your missions are the following:


– A good understanding of the development of safety critical systems.
– Serve as primary interface with internal and external customers regarding functional safety.
– Gather functional safety requirements from customers, assess compliance, and note areas of non-conformance and/or opportunities to modify requirements.
– Create safety plans and status reports throughout the project.
– Develop technical work products specific to functional safety, e.g., hazard and risk assessment, material definition, functional safety concept, technical safety concept, FTAs, FMEAs, criticality analyses, other safety analyses, and test coverage analysis of safety requirements.
– Estimate the time and resources needed for the planned activities.
– Drive down requirements and partner with engineering teams to apply the functional safety design process
– Coordinate design team members to resolve functional safety issues.
– Assist in root cause analysis of safety related issues by working with cross-functional teams
– Contribute to process improvement activities.
– Conduct functional safety training for teams.

Profile Description:

You have a degree in Engineering (Bac+5), you have a degree in Functional Safety, and/or you have proven practical experience in the implementation of ISO 26262 and in the practice of safety in the automotive sector.

Knowledge of the means of measuring the main physical quantities: dimensional, thermal, vibratory, pressure, mechanical, force, electrical.
